Government and Military track
AI competency, measured for government and military
Written for work where the record is the point. Public accountability, procurement rules, classification, and decisions that have to be explainable to somebody who was not in the room and may be reviewing them years later.
Who sits this track
Civil servants, policy staff, defense and public-sector professionals.
Nine tracks exist because the competencies that matter to a clinician are not the ones that matter to a teacher. The framework, the three proficiency levels and the scoring are shared. The items are not.
The judgment this track measures
Scenario items ask what a person would do, not what a term means. These are the situations the government and military items are built around.
- Using a tool on material whose handling rules you are accountable for
- Documenting a decision so it survives review and freedom-of-information
- Assessing a vendor claim about an AI system during procurement
- Explaining an automated or assisted decision to a citizen affected by it
- Knowing which tasks may not be delegated to a system at all
- Length
- 40 items, plus the readiness checklist.
- Time
- 20 to 25 minutes. No time limit.
- Levels
- Acquire, Deepen, Create.
- Status
- In CVI review · V 0.1
- Result
- Not pass or fail. A baseline and a set of gaps.
