AI in Education · Acquire

Acquire

A complete course, not an introductory stage. Teachers who complete it and go no further hold a working practice they can run on their own for the rest of the year.

Duration
18 hours. Six sessions of three hours.
Schedule
Twice weekly over three weeks, or weekly over six. Set in consultation with the school calendar.
Delivery
On your campus, for your teachers only. Cohorts are never mixed across schools.
Cohort size
Minimum 20, maximum 25 teachers.
Placement
From the competency assessment, confirmed in the first session by scored practical work rather than by score alone.
Language
Mixed cohorts. Every teacher works in their own language of instruction.
Certification
A certificate of completion, issued on submitted work. Not on attendance.
Evidence
Outcomes are verified by inspecting what each teacher produced. No exit test and no exit self-report.

What each teacher holds on completion

Every item below is produced during the course, in the teacher's own subject, grade band and language of instruction, using their own curriculum and their own students' work.

Alongside these, each teacher can judge, on the material in front of them, where generative AI output is safe to use as produced, where it must be corrected before it reaches a child, and where it must be rejected outright. That judgment is exercised on their own artifacts throughout the course, not discussed in the abstract.

How the certificate is earned

Three pieces of submitted work: the first-session practical task, one classroom artifact of the teacher's choosing from the middle of the course, and the closing set of prompt library, deployment plan and AI use statement. Each is marked met or not met against a fixed standard. One resubmission is allowed.

There are no grades and no ranking.

What the school gets

Individual results stay with the teacher

The school receives faculty-level data and the completion list. Individual assessment results go to the teacher. The instrument is self-report and stays accurate only while teachers know their responses are not being used to evaluate them.
